Wow!! Corp members to now receive N33,000 as allowance- NYSC DG Ibrahim Shuaibu

Shuaibu Ibrahim, director general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), says the monthly allowance for corp members has been increased to N33,000.


The NYSC boss brought the cheering news during a working visit to the NYSC secretariat in Bauchi.

According to a statement on the official Facebook page of the schedule, Ibrahim said the increase is in line with the new minimum wage approved by the federal government.

He said that the provisions for the new provision are included in the 2020 budget and that payment would start as soon as the funds are released by the
President Buhari signed the new law on minimum wages in April 2019.
