The Academic Staff Union of Universities has instructed its members nationally to strike as soon as the federal government stops the pay of teachers.
The ASUU President of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Dr. Adebayo Oni, said this Sunday in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents.
He said there was a permanent order to start the strike as soon as the salaries of the members were stopped.
In the meantime, the ASUU has accused the public officials of the public sector about sabotaging its discussions with the federal government on the proposed university transparency and accountability solution.

Prof. Deji concluded by saying: "Only patriots can work in the hellish state in which we work. Our position is that the principles of IPPIS contradict the principles of the autonomy of the university system and that the constitution is clear enough because every university the legal pattern and there is no provision for IPPIS.
